How to Use Gas Wall Heater and light Pilot

Use this heater only in the case of a power outage where all other heating devices are not working.

To light the pilot you will need a lighter which is located below the kitchen sink.

First make sure the tan thermostat indicator in the hallway is switched off, the tab being pushed all the way to the left.

Go to the bedroom, open the little door at the bottom, where you will see a yellow hose with a red vavle to it’s left. Turn the red valve parallel to the yellow hose.

Go to the living room side of the wall heater and be sure to move the chairs away from the unit. Open the bottom door and you will see a little black knob valve that should be in the off position. Push it in and turn it to the left to “pilot”. As you push the black valve in, light the flame at the little gas hose just up to the left of the black valve. It may take a moment for gas to come through it. You should be able to hear the pilot start.

Continue to hold the valve on pilot for another 40 seconds after the pilot is lit.

Now turn the knob to the ”on” position. Close the little door.

Keep chairs away from the heater.

Go back to the wall thermostat in the hallway and change the temperature to your desired heat level.

You should be all set!
